I took this photograph of High Force waterfall in Cumbria back in July. I found it amongst a film that I processed, sleeved and filed away without ever scanning it - to rediscover it was quite a treat.
High Force was the waterfall that I spoke of here. It was advertised as the biggest waterfall in the UK but it really wasn’t. The day was also a washout of bad photographs with only one colour roll standing out but now, for me, the trip was worth it for this photo. It was a one second long exposure with an orange filter and polariser on the front of the camera, mainly it reduce the light a couple of stops for the longer exposure but I think the orange filter has worked well with the water.
